Zebra Isopods (Armadillidium maculatum)

This was one of the first domesticated species of isopod in the hobby and perhaps the one that started it all! With a high contrast of balck with white strips this isopod really does justice to color and functionality. This species is prolific, so you wont have to worry about waiting too long for babies to pop out. They also have colormorphs that can randomly come out in cultures featuring yellow stripes instead of white, and even white and chocolate brown variants.
