Calcium Clay Bath Kit
Calcium Clay Bath Kit — Dermal Mineral Enrichment for Dart Frogs (Standard & Bulk Refill)
Description:
From the minds of Houston Frogs — a calcium clay bath formulated for dermal mineral absorption in dart frogs. Our calcium clay is 33% calcium with added magnesium plus a variety of trace minerals including Zinc, Iron, Cobalt, and Potassium. Unlike other marketed calcium clays, ours has more bioavailability due to extremely fine, air-floated particles that readily dissolve in water — allowing for vastly increased absorption across the dermal layer of dart frogs.
Why keepers love Calcium Clay Bath:
- High bioavailability — Extremely fine, air-floated particles dissolve readily in water for superior dermal absorption
- 33% calcium — Plus added magnesium and trace minerals (Zinc, Iron, Cobalt, Potassium) for amphibian bone health
- Visible results — Frogs' skin looks brighter and cleaner after they wash the clay off
- Nothing wasted — Splashed-out clay provides calcium for isopods and micronutrients for plants and beneficial bacteria and fungi
- Auxiliary supplementation — Increases vital mineral availability as part of a complete supplementation routine
Standard kit includes:
- 1 petri dish set (1 lid and 1 bottom)
- 4 packs of Calcium Clay Bath Powder
- 1 10mL syringe
- 1 set of instructions
Bulk refill kit: Now available without petri dishes and syringes for refills. Use 1 tbsp clay per 2 tbsp water for large frogs, half for small frogs.
Directions:
- Empty one packet into the petri dish
- Draw 30ml of water via the included syringe
- Mix with clay — will be watery (see info sheet for details)
Recommended use:
- For adult frogs only — recommended for larger frogs
- Provide 1–2 times per month
- Refresh clay every two weeks (assuming they haven't splashed it all out)
- Pair with oral supplementation — we recommend Repashy Calcium Plus every feeding for poison frogs
Important notes:
- This bath does NOT contain vitamins A and D3 — oral supplementation is still required
- This product is for enrichment, not display — frogs will frolic in it and track clay everywhere
- Easily spray frogs and leaves down to wash clay into the soil
- Not for show tanks
Best for: dart frog keepers looking to add dermal mineral enrichment to their supplementation routine.
