Overview
Welcome to Exotics Unlimited. By purchasing from our website, you agree to the following terms and policies.
These terms are designed to protect the animals we ship and ensure a safe, reliable experience for every customer.
Our Commitment
At Exotics Unlimited, we take pride in providing responsibly bred, well-cared-for animals and high-quality products.
Our entire tarantula inventory is sourced from captive-bred populations. We do not sell wild-caught tarantulas, as established captive breeding programs already exist and support sustainable availability.
In select cases, certain invertebrates may be wild collected when they are not yet established in captivity. These are offered with the intention of supporting collectors and breeders in developing sustainable captive populations.
👉 Our focus is long-term sustainability—not short-term profit.
- We do not carry wild-caught reptiles
- The vast majority of our animals are produced in-house
- We prioritize captive breeding, ecosystem preservation, and animal quality
All animals are:
- Healthy and properly housed
- Ethically maintained prior to shipment
- Shipped only under safe conditions using proven packaging methods
- Inspected and vetted before shipping. We readily will hold animals if we spot they are in premolt or not fit for shipping.
Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
Reported within the applicable window (2 hours retail / 3 hours wholesale)
- For home delivery, the window begins when the package is marked delivered
- For FedEx facility pickup, the window begins at the time of pickup
To Qualify for Coverage
Animals must be:
- Unpacked and inspected promptly
- Reported within 2 hours
- Supported with clear photo or video proof
When these guidelines are followed, your animals are fully covered under our Live Arrival Guarantee.
Resolution Options
If a valid DOA is reported within the required window, we will make it right with one of the following:
- Replacement + FREE Shipping covered by us to a local fedex facility
- Store credit (+ Bonus Amount)
- Refund (minus processing fees)
FedEx Facility Pickup (Recommended)
- Closest facility is automatically selected
- Packages must be picked up the same day they are available
- Inspection window begins at pickup
👉 This method provides the lowest risk and most controlled delivery environment.
Home / Office Delivery
- Someone must be available to receive and sign
- Inspection must occur within 2 hours
While home delivery is available, it carries a higher level of risk during transit.
Our Live Arrival Guarantee still fully applies when all delivery guidelines are followed.
Live Arrival Coverage & Limitations
We cover Dead on Arrival (DOA), meaning the animal arrives deceased or passes shortly after arrival due to shipping-related causes.
If all guidelines are followed and a valid DOA is reported within the 2-hour window, we will make it right with one of the following:
- Replacement (shipping covered by us)
- Store credit (+20%)
- Refund (minus processing fees)
*Freebies are only replaced on future orders and not offered with free reshipping*
Important Notes
- Freebie items are only replaced on future orders if reported within the 2 hr window and are not reshipped
- Minor imperfections are handled on a case-by-case basis
- Delayed health concerns may require additional communication
Coverage May Be Limited If:
- Package is not picked up the same day
- Delivery is missed, refused, or returned
- Incorrect shipping information is provided
Wholesale Terms & Policies
How Wholesale Works
Wholesale pricing is approximately 50% off retail. Available to any business with a valid EIN or LLC.
To get approved:
- Submit your EIN or LLC document
- We activate wholesale pricing on your account the same day
- No website, no storefront, no minimum time in business required
To place an order:
- $400 minimum per order to use wholesale pricing
- All orders are paid upfront — no net terms
- Browse the wholesale catalog on our site
Wholesale DOA Policy
DOA must be reported within 3 hours of pickup or delivery.
To report a DOA:
- Take clear photos of the animal as received
- Email photos to support@exoticsunlimitedusa.com
- Include your order number and a brief description
We handle DOA claims quickly. If confirmed, we'll issue a replacement or store credit.
Wholeslae Refunds & Credits
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Store credit can be used on any future wholesale order.
Wholesale Shipping
- Live arrival guaranteed on all wholesale orders
- Shipping is calculated at checkout
- Orders $1,000+ ship free (see bulk tier discounts)
- All shipments include heat packs or cold packs as needed for your climate

Unscheduled Orders
If a customer becomes unresponsive after placing an order, we will attempt contact via email and/or phone.
After 30 days without scheduling:
- The order will be returned to inventory
- 100% store credit will be issued
Refunds are no longer available after 30 days.
Returns, Refunds & Cancellations for Businesses
Because animals are living beings:
👉 We do not accept returns once animals leave our care.
All cancellations including partial cancellations are issued as store credit.
Shipping & Fulfillment
- Orders ship Monday–Wednesday via FedEx Priority Overnight
- Shipping dates are coordinated with customers
- We avoid late-week shipping to prevent weekend delays
Priority Overnight refers to transit time, not processing speed.
Fast Shipping Option
In many cases, we can ship orders shortly after they are placed if:
- The order is received early in the week
- All customer information is complete
Orders placed by Tuesday (end of day) have the best chance of fast turnaround.
Delays
While we use expedited shipping, delays may occasionally occur.
Shipping costs are not refunded or reimbursed in the event of carrier delays.
Shipping Safety
We only ship when weather and conditions are safe for the animals.
If conditions are unsafe, shipping will be delayed until it is safe to proceed.
Packaging Standards
We use premium materials refined over 50,000+ shipments to ensure safe delivery.
Each shipment includes:
- Overnight shipping
- Live animal labeling
- Insulated packaging
- Temperature control packs
- Secure containers with humidity control
- Protective packing materials
We will upgrade packaging when necessary at our expense.
Free Shipping & Order Combining
Free shipping is available on orders over $400 (FedEx Hold for Pickup only).
(Promotional thresholds may vary during special events.)
- Home delivery orders require standard shipping charges
If a replacement is required under our Live Arrival Guarantee, shipping for the replacement is fully covered by us.
Customer Responsibilities
By placing an order, you agree to:
- Provide accurate shipping and contact information
- Be available for delivery or pickup
- Inspect animals immediately upon arrival
- Follow all Live Arrival Guarantee instructions
Failure to meet these requirements may limit or void coverage.
Limited Liability
Exotics Unlimited is not responsible for:
- Injuries or allergic reactions
- Improper handling or care after delivery
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase.
Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, and images are the property of Exotics Unlimited and may not be used without permission.
